Jumping In Head First

Well, here is it, almost the end of 2015, and I am about jump into the world of social media, head first.  I tried Facebook, mostly so I could see pictures my daughters posted of my grandchildren.  I still have not mastered all the skills but I am getting by. The same is true of LinkedIn.

So, I decided to start a Blog.  I understand that it is a good way to reach other authors who might be able to help me finish the book, get it published and market it.  It is always a good idea to take advice from those who have gone through the process before me.

Eleven of approximately fourteen or fifteen chapters of my memoir have been written.  They have been given an initial review by a friend who is a retired, high school teacher from the Bronx.  I cannot imagine they make them any tougher than he is.  He has been very helpful, supportive and positive about the book.    Because I hope to have a finished product, not just a continuing process, I have established a deadline.  Pretty soon it will be time to sink or swim.

So here we go!
